Shona will be introducing her new Flower Buttercream* recipe which is great for piping buttercream flowers. It is easy to pipe whilst holding its shape well which means you can achieve better defined petals on your flowers. Learn how to torte you cake and how to achieve straight sides and clean cut edges.

You can expect to learn lots of tips and tricks, including cool tools to get a nice clean finish for your cake. During class, all students will be closely observed to ensure careful guidance. 

1. Buttercream

Learn how to make both Swiss Meringue Buttercream (made using a stand mixer) and Flower Buttercream* (made with and without a stand mixer). She will also explain the different types of buttercream out there and share how to flavour your buttercream. You will colour your own buttercream during class and you will be shown how to achieve a two tone effect for your flowers. Please note that due to time constraint, buttercream will be pre-made for you to use during class.

2. Flower Piping

You will learn how to pipe roses (open and closed) and rose buds, hydrangea, buds and leaves. You will also learn how to arrange your flowers in a wreath design.
