3. Peranakan Birthday Noodles (Lam Mee)
Lam mee is a traditional Malaysian Peranakan dish symbolising longevity. It consists of yellow noodles in a delicious gravy made from a blend of prawns and pork. The dish is served with pork ribs and prawns and several other condiments. The one ingredient that completes the dish will be a home-made belacan which you will learn how to make from scratch as well.
