Christopher’s latest recipes showcase and celebrate favourite flavours and influences from around ASEAN, spruced up with a dash of creativity and knowhow for enticingly delicious results.

Menu

1. Banh Da Lon

A sumptuous steamed Vietnamese kueh which tastes just like pandan kueh koo! Layers of soft, satiny tapioca-rice batter infused with fresh pandan juice alternate with rich, velvety-fudgy layers of mashed mung beans and coconut milk. An elegant cousin of lapis sagu, this is equally festive – sure to be a hit at potlucks and parties.

2. Bolu Hitam Kelapa Muda

An Indonesian-style black glutinous rice flour cake, this has a moist, buttery and fragrant crumb threaded with succulent, chewy ribbons of fresh young coconut meat. The kind of cake that everyone will keep stealing bites from until it disappears.

3. Kue Odading

An Indonesian fried snack which is like the love child of our hum chin pang and butterflies. Under its paper-thin, sesame-coated brown crust is an open, airy crumb, hence its other name – kue bantal (pillow kueh). A perfect accompaniment to hot coffee or tea in the afternoon.

Take Home Items

Onsite participants will bring home a set of food samples. ZOOM participants WITH food samples can opt for self-collection or delivery at no extra cost.
