Clean, umami and well-presented. Japanese food has become a mainstream cuisine in the local culinary scene that is well-loved by young and old. Learn to make some of favourite Japanese dishes so that you and your family can enjoy Japanese food even on a weekday night!


1. Handmade Fresh Udon in Tasty Broth and Onsen Egg

Do you use your hands, your feet or the mixer to knead the dough? How long should the dough rest? Let Chef Michele guide you through the process of making your own udon from scratch that is both yummy and additive free. Pair it with a delicious broth and onsen egg for a simple complete meal. 

2. Ebi Fry King Prawn

Ebi Fry, is a Japanese dish of breaded and deep fried prawns that are served with "tonkatsu" sauce or a simple tartar sauce. We will be using premium king prawns for a super juicy texture. 

3. Chawanmushi 

Possibly the most frequently ordered appetiser in Japanese restaurants, this must- have item can be prepared home using precise techniques and a umami homemade dashi broth. 

4. Aburi Reverse Roll with Mentaiko

Not your ordinary sushi roll. This decadent inside out roll has a creamy filling of avocado and fresh crab meat. Topping it all is a torched mentaiko (cod roe) on a slice of tuna/salmon.

Maximum of 12 participants.
