Many iconic bakes of yesteryear were based on puff pastry. This class will teach you how to make your own with a simple combination of flour and 100 percent butter, for the most sumptuous flavour and flakiest texture – no margarine, shortening or artificial anything – and how to turn it into three different treats.


1. Rough Puff Pastry
While this is easier to put together than traditional French puff pastry, it puffs up equally well into countless crisp and buttery layers. Once made, it can be frozen, pre-cut and thawed when needed.

2. Cream Horns
Make teatime fit for royalty with these golden pastry cones, filled with rich and fluffy whipped cream and a hidden hint of raspberry jam.

3. Beef & Potato Curry Puffs
Puff pastry triangles enclosing a spicy minced beef and potato curry fragrant with spices and herbs. Best eaten freshly baked and hot!

4. Apple Lattice Puffs
Tangy fresh apple compote peeking through a lacy puff pastry lattice, once upon a time a common favourite at hotel bakery counters.

Demonstration by Chef with videos and photos snippets sent via WhatApp. Recipes will be emailed ahead for ZOOM participants. 

Take Home Items

Onsite participants will bring home a set of food samples. ZOOM participants WITH food samples can opt for self-collection or delivery at no extra cost.
