2021 Chinese New Year celebrations will see smaller feasts in a more intimate settings. Out of the myriad of traditional dishes, Chef Shih Erh has carefully selected a menu of dishes that are just the right size for a small group, yet none less delicious.

1. Braised Chinese cabbage with Dried Oyster and Sea Moss.

This traditional vegetable dish is filled with flavors due to an important process that involves blanching, drying, deep frying and braising in a specially homemade superior stock. A perfect companion with meats and rice.

2. Pomfret 2 Ways

This old Chinese dish is usually served during festive occasions. The 'paired' way of cooking this pomfret makes it an auspicious dish. The pomfret is delicately cut into fillets, separated and prepared in two ways - deep fried and stir fried with macadamia nuts, capsicum, lotus root and gingko nuts. An ingenious and unique way to elevate a simple fish dish.

3. Claypot Wax Meat Mixed Grain Rice  (五谷腊味煲仔饭 )

Not your ordinary claypot rice, but one that is full of goodness from the nutritious assortment of grains flavored by traditional wax meat (duck leg, pork belly, liver sausage, lup cheong) and slowly simmered in a claypot to bring out the best flavors. We are certain that this dish will be absolutely well-received by the seniors in the family.
