Besides her lovely breads, baker Audrey Tan of Freshly Baked has a signature item that usually flies off the shelves in her bakery before Chinese New Year - pineapple tarts. We are very privileged have her share this signature recipe with us in this class. To add to the excitement, she will also be teaching a lovely Nastar Pineapple Crumble Cake that is very popular in Indonesian cafes.
1. Pineapple Tarts (Hands-on)
Audrey's recipe has been tried and tested for more than a decade. Learn the very fine tips on cooking the pineapple jam filling and the secret to a perfect tart pastry.
2. Nastar Pineapple Crumble Cake (Demo)
A light cake with pineapple jam filling interspersed on layers of light cream cheese frosting and coated with a slightly crispy crumble. Soft and crispy, sweet and tart - the balance of texture and flavors in this cake is so perfect. It has to be the most refreshing variation of the well-loved pineapple tart.
