1. Penang Rojak
This is definitely a crowd pleaser with its myriad of taste profile and texture. Penang rojak stands apart from other rojak varieties due to its diverse combination of fruits and vegetables, including jicama, cucumber, pineapple, guava, jambu and green mango. The accompanying dressing is a unique blend of sweet, savoury, tangy and spicy flavours made with a host of ingredients. The various toppings that go onto the rojak further enhances the distinctive taste.
2. Ark Tui Mee Sua (Duck Leg Mee Sua)
Packed with the goodness of Chinese herbs, this warm, fragrant and nourishing soup is a satisfying meal especially on a cold day. A bowl of this fragrant herbal soup is usually served with tender braised duck meat and mee sua. This is definitely one dish you want to cook in your own home to ensure the best results.
3. Penang Char Kuay Teow
Penang char kway teow is distinctively marked by its pale colour due to the omission of dark soy sauce, and the dish is cooked much drier than our local version. But the distinctive 'char' of the kuay teow is what we are going after.
